Kiwanis Club of Penns Valley
Penns Valley Builders Club
Description: Penns Valley Builders Club is a community service club for only 7th and 8th graders at PVHS. The club provides opportunities for students to work together in service to the school and community. PV Builders Club organizes and/or helps with several school and community events and activities. Some events that they club assists with are:
1. Organizes Hoops for Heart for 7th and 8th graders and raises money for the American Heart Association
2. Volunteers at SPCA
3. Picks up trash on the school grounds
4. Beautification of school courtyard
5. Helps with PV Kiwanis Club Bike Rodeo
6. Visits Salem Hill Haven home for the elderly during the holiday season to sing carols, make crafts, and converse with the residents
How to Join: Any student in 7th or 8th grade at Penns Valley High School can join. They must sign up for the club during the first month of the school year.
Schedule of Meetings: Builders Club meets on a rotation. The club meets during Activity Period at the high school, on every other Day 6. The meeting dates vary. The club will gather from 2:33-3:15 pm on meeting dates. Contact advisors for more information if needed.

Penns Valley Key Club

Joining the club is easy! Sign up in September during Club sign - up week. Anyone can join any time. See Mrs. Cramer, Key Club Advisor and Mrs. Gensimore in the office.
Key Club has many service projects:
Penn DOT Road Cleanup in April and October. Sinking Creek Road, Spring Mills.
March of Dimes: Walk for Babies May 3, 2009, 1:00 pm. Money is raised individually and as Key Club team.
Kiwanis Bike rodeo in May.
UNICEF fundraiser from September through October.
Food Drive for the Millheim Outreach Center food bank.
United Way donation drive for the Penns Valley School District. September through November.
Red Cross Blood Drive in November or February.
Soda Tab collection to benefit the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey. (Going on right now if anyone in Kiwanis has any soda tabs to donate; we will deliver them to the TAB House during the PA Key Club Convention)
Campbell Soup label collection to collect enough points to buy a digital or video camera for the school. (This requires 1,000's of points.)
We will be looking into various service projects for the Spring.
Schedule of Meetings: Meetings are held during Activity Period, day 6. This varies due to snow days, vacation and in-service days.
We meet about three times per month.
